 al desert island?Held at Barbican Library in March and April, Desert I
 sland Images is a series of conversations with invited guests who have
  a story to tell and a passionate relationship to the world of images.
  Each event explores the handful of images they find most powerful, in
 spiring, comforting, haunting or generally indispensable. Encompassing
  photographs, paintings, drawings, graphics, illustrations, films, TV,
  maps, diagrams and more, Desert Island Images is an invitation to tak
 e the pulse of our image saturated world via a unique personal and cri
 tical perspective.This series is hosted by Alistair Cartwright, histo
 rian, activist and researcher at the University of Liverpool.Dates and
