 \nAward-winning writer Jenny Mitchell will offer two stimulating poetr
 y workshops that aim to examine the elusive concept of Freedom. Can cr
 eative writing help us feel more carefree in a world that seems increa
 singly chaotic? Is it possible to write ourselves into a space where w
 e're free to deepen our sense of identity, resilience and ultimately J
 oy? Open to all. No former experience of writing poems necessary.  Â
  \nJenny Mitchell is currently the Inaugural Poet in the Community at 
 the British Library, working with the Engagement Team. She won the Ink
 , Sweat and Tears May Poetry Competition in 2024, the Shooter Poetry C
 ompetition in 2023, the Gregory O’Donoghue Prize in 2022, and the Po
 etry Book Awards in 2021 for her second collection, Map of a Plantatio
 n (on the syllabus at Manchester Metropolitan University). The prize-w
 inning debut collection, Her Lost Language, is One of 44 Poetry Books 
 for 2019 (Poetry Wales), and her latest collection, Resurrection of a 
 Black Man, contains three prize-winning poems and is featured on the U
