 onautical Society Tom McCarthy will discuss his brilliant work around

 d’, was shortlisted for the 2015 Booker Prize as was his previous no
 vel, C, in 2010. His first novel, ‘Remainder’, has just been adapt
 ed for cinema.  His non-fiction output includes the book ‘Tintin an
 d the Secret of Literature’, exploring themes and patterns of Hergé
 ’s comic books and his essays have appeared in publications such as 
 The New York Times, The London Review of Books, Harper’s andArtforum
 .\n \nHe is also founder of the International Necronautical Society
 , a semi-fictitious, avant-garde network of writers, philosophers and 
 artists whose work has shown at venues including the Palais de Tokyo P
 aris, Tate Britain and Moderna Museet Stockholm. In 2013 he was awarde
 d the\ninaugural Windham Campbell Prize for Fiction by Yale University
 .\n \nClare Carolin is Associate Curator at the\nMuseum of Contempora
 ry Art and Design, Manila; Associate Lecturer at Sotheby’s Institute
