I have somebody's food delivery, trying to find its rightful owner

Hi everybody, first post :)

Today I was handed a delivery (to 251 Crescent House) of potatoes, grapes, tomatoes and salad.  It says 144 on the bag and I think the delivery guy may have muttered 'Amazon' when he handed it to me. I unwittingly accepted it, thinking my partner had ordered it.

144 Crescent House says it's not hers. So for some reason I have it (we are 251).

If nobody claims it I will do some more detective work (checking 144s from other buildings on the estate).

Cheers,

Mark

Hi Mark

That is strange indeed.  I may be wrong but I don't think there are any other no. 144's in any of the other blocks on the Estate.  I thought all deliveries had to have the name of the person who ordered the items as well as the address.  Very odd. Wish I could help. Am mystified.

Try contacting amazon, if there is any id on it, labels, order number, company name etc.

Thanks guys , I did contact Ama
zon in the end. They have no record of it so I'm stumped.

May be a repeat order for the previous resident.

treat yourself, go vegetarian, bon appétit.

:-)
