Apple's Maps App - Ooooops!
I am a Mac fan and have never owned a computer than wasn't an Apple. But the news Maps App for iPads and iPhones is a disaster. Sadly, this gets bundled with new software updates whether you want it or not. I read that the data is provided by Tom Tom.
Just a few local examples:
- Crescent House has been vapourised and turned into open space
- the entrance to Barbican tube is now in Carthusian Street
- a stretch of Aldersgate St is re-named Goswell Road
- Barts Medical School has become the Kurdistan Information Centre
- and the Shakespeare Pub has been moved to the other side of Aldersgate Street.
Many Crescent House residents wish this last were reality, given the noise nuisance and obstruction the Shakespeare pub causes us!

I searched for my own flat (in Cullum Welch House) via the new Apple maps software and it found it ok.................in 3D mapping!!! Yes, the Shakespeare PH should be moved or closed down!
