London Open House will be celebrated on Golden Lane on the weekend of 22 and 23 September.

The hub for the two days will be the Community Centre which will be open to the public from 10am to 5pm.

There will be exhibitions of archive materials; talks from the architects responsible for restoring the Centre; tours by the other architects involved in restoring Great Arthur House and the playground; guided tours across the Estate and a specially made showing of Night and Day - The Arena Time Machine,  a continuous film montage, shown in real time, using only footage from the extensive BBC TV Arena archive, edited to remain in synch with the day and night. Jointly directed by Anthony Wall and GLE resident Emma Matthews.

We are looking for volunteers to do the following:

- Guided tours of the Estate

- Stewarding at the Community Centre and neighbouring areas

- Decorating and helping with exhibitions in the Community Centre

- Working with the Night and Day project to set up in the Community Centre

- Preparing and selling food and drink in aid of the Community Centre

- Providing access to their flats
