City of London

I would like to start a debate about residents having guest parking passes, like they do in Islington, and other Borough's.

I dont know about you but when I have family come to visit, (which is very infrequent) or a surprise guest who have come from out of London. Not only do they have to pay CC but they also have to pay to get into the carpark thats if you are allowd? there are no visiors spaces on the streets outside.

If we all had a booklet of passes that you pay for annually, perhaps it could be a scratched off.

I only have a few guests with cars but it is necessary for them to come by car. Its always so difficult if they have to pay for a hour on the streets at £4 per pay for CC and pay for car park.

What do residents think ?

It doesnt create a coehesive community at all. Especially in these difficult financial times.

I'm pro that idea. When you say the carpark, do you mean the area near the Estate office, or public carparks?

However, I imagine it would cost the City of London a fortune to lose the revenue from even a few parking spaces, as they will be as stretched as everyone else at the moment.
