Who controls the locks on the estate?
Sunbathing impossible on May Bank holiday Sunday and Monday on the Basterfield lawn (and the 'Drum') as padlocked. Sue Pearson, our brave Common Councillor, tells me that a child fell out of a tree so it's locked for Health & Safety reasons.
However there are lots of climbing fences with drops onto concrete paving all over the estate for children to kill and injure themselves.
Also Alma, the Duchess, fought and won a valiant war to maintain resident access to the entire estate, and her memory sullied by such unreasonable behaviour.
It can't be the Xmas tree as the base is surrounded by rough grass and nettles. I suggest the only other climbable tree be fitted out with nettles, brambles, venus fly traps, either in the ground to replace the hard paving OR in bags as the Golden Baggers have successfully done elsewhere.
Any other suggestions before I annoy the Estates Office about this?
