Here is a link to download the proposed plans for the RCS site in high resolution:

It will be valid for 7 days.

We have many issues. You will see from these plans that the proposed School Hall that will be built right up next to Basterfield House is over 8.5m tall. That is more than three of our storeys. Everything about this project seems to be massively oversized for the site.

Also attached here is the latest update to our GLE residents' comments. We are updating them at the moment to take into account the many concerns raised by residents at the consultation. If you have any concerns that we have missed please let me know, or come to the residents' meeting at the Community Centre on Monday 6th March.

Just to say thanks for sharing these Charles - had appreciated

... receiving the copy of the response but also useful to see the proposal plans.

[Bit quick on the trigger finger, sorry!]

I have now added our detailed written breakdown of comments available for download. It runs to 14 pages before we have even seen the planning drawings, but if the scheme goes ahead as proposed without the modifications we have asked for then it will form the basis of our objections at the planning stage.

Just to summarise our main objections are:

• Height, density and proximity of resdiential tower block

• Location and height of School Hall

• Blank facade on Golden Lane

• Noise from playground (we are seeking s106 contribution to double glazing)

All comments should be sent to jessicas@commcommuk.com who ran the consultation on 25th February and i believe are continuing to run consultations.
