Have attached a PDF email press release that I recently received from the COL Police.  It concerns the "rights" of people to photograph buildings in The City.

 

As long as you are on public land, security guards HAVE NO POWERS AT ALL TO STOP YOU FROM TAKING PHOTOGRAPHS!    Obviously, if you are on The Barbican property, that is private land, so you need permission.

 

My job often involves photography in The City, but it is usually pre-arranged by my client, so problems do not arise.

 

If anyone has had, or does have in the future, problems from these so-called "security guards", please post them on here.

Yes, I often see shoots, both still and video, taking place in front of Great Arthur House.
