Barbican and Golden Lane Neighbourhood Forum - drop in at Community Centre

The Barbican and Golden Lane community has applied to become a designated neighbourhood forum so that it can prepare a neighbourhood plan and participate in local planning matters on a statutory basis. Under the government’s Localism legislation, communities can draw up their own plans that become part of the statutory framework for land use. This will be the City of London’s first neighbourhood forum and neighbourhood plan.The application is supported by local residents, councillors, businesses and community groups such as GLERA and the BA. Event Description

If you know of anyone that is an unpaid carer even though they may not recognise themselves as one. Would you share, we have a quiz with a free prize draw. Over 20 Prizes from local businesses in support of National Carers Week with the theme of visible and valued.

A carer is anyone who cares, unpaid, for a family member or friend who due to frailty, illness, disability, a mental health problem or an addiction, cannot cope without their support. Many people do not see themselves as family carers or carers of neighbours. It normally at least two years for people to recognise themselves as being a carer.

What time is the Quiz?: at 4pm on Sunday 13th June after the football.

I don't want to Quiz, too difficult: Quiz is multiple-choice, how good is your "Eeny, meeny, miny, moe"? you have a good chance at the star prize

Prizes? We will have two prize draws a larger one for Carers that can join the zoom quiz. And a smaller automatic draw for those that can't attend to include as many carers as possible. We have over 20 prizes from Waitrose Hamper, Hotel Chocolat chocolates, Daunt bookshop vouchers, lunch at Leon, Barbican gallery tickets, Barbican Cinema tickets, Champagne from Co-op, St Giles book fair vouchers and any more

If you are looking after someone and a carer, or know of a carer please ask them to enter the Prize draw, email CityCarersCommunity@gmail.com or if they don't have an email please contact us on their behalf.
