DVD/Video Recorder Repairs

Hello. I have a DVD/Video Combo recorder that appears to be slightly faulty. If was wondering if anyone here knows of any reliable repairs service that they may recommend for such equipment, or if anyone knows of anyone who does such repairs themselves. I would be very grateful, as have a few more videos to transfer to DVD. It appears these machines are no longer being made, so I cannot buy a new one. Its only about 2-3 years old. Many thanks.
