We are sorry that we have been unable to confirm the start date for the Great Arthur House project.

Residents will know that we had expected the contractors to be on site this month.  Unfortunately, the company manufacturing the windows, which have to be specially made, is still carrying out tests to ensure the window units meet all necessary standards.

As soon as we have any further information we will pass it on to residents.

Residents of Great Arthur House have been waiting for many years for this project to start, and have been given many false promises, and now it looks like another one.  Why would the CoL inform residents that the works were due to start in August if all the so called necessary testing had not been completed?  They are so used to hearing the same old phrase, that 'as soon as we have any information we will pass it on to residents'.  The whole Estate is being neglected, and so many repairs are needed before any redecoration can even start.  May I ask why this is the case, when we are a listed Estate, and as such, there is a duty of care towards maintaining this Estate to the standards the listing demands?  This is a discussion forum, so it would be appreciated if the Estate Office could treat it as such, and answer questions put to them on this site.
