I'm sure I remember when I was a kid many moons ago that motorbikes that sound like tanks or spitfires were illegal. If that's the case(and correct me if i'm wrong) why is it that I continually hear bikes along golden lane that sound like tanks and spitfires. I often get woken by a scooter flying by at around midnight. Whoever it is seems to love throttling it as he rides down the road. Any thoughts or is it only me that hears them

Compared to where I used to live, Golden Lane is an oasis of peace, believe me!!!!

I do believe you Steve.  Having 'nightmare' memories of the Ferrier Estate, trust me, I believe you!!

I guess we all have different ideas of what noisy is. I lived in a very noisy place for years and I think it has made me more aware of noise. I guess that's why I hear everything. The creaking of my windowsill expanding in the heat woke me up this morning. Even with headphones on I can hear everything else outside.
