Notice with 'Father Christmas holding a Court Order'!
Has anyone seen this notice the Corporation has put up 'reminding' people that they should pay their rent at Christmas, otherwise failure to do so will amount to 'legal action', and the possibility of losing their home? May I say that is hardly an appropriate festive message to the residents. Obviously, people know they need to pay their rent. I have been told of some residents receiving this 'festive reminder' in their letterboxes.
To put up a picture of 'Father Christmas' facing eviction from his 'Grotto' is mean spirited. So typical of the Corporation to resort to their usual 'bullying tactics' even at Christmas. Very Scrooge like!

That's a thought Christine! I have spoken to some residents who are incensed by this letter, as they always pay their rent. Surely, the Corporation know who the few are who may not pay on time, and deal with that, instead of insulting those that do!However, am not surprised really that poor Father Christmas has received a court order. He has breached the 'no pet policy' by having reindeers!!!

- and heres the alternative Christmas message brought to you by the COL, who said that Christmas spirit was dead, not down at the guildhall, a humorous take on Santa now working for the COL delivering court orders, or does he rent a flat from the COL in Lapland and is receiving his court order. Maybe on his days of he masquerades as a Social Worker and cons his way into OAPs flats, deep undercover for the COL fraud department, on the malicious hear say of a neighbour who thought David Cameron's "Big Society" was modelled on the STASI

Oh Nathan! You had me laughing so much with your post. Poor old Santa. Wonder what has happened to the reindeers? Probably been sent to the 'glue factory' by the COL!
