I have this afternoon received an email from Westbourne Engagement on behalf of Taylor Wimpey suggesting that they plan to start scaffolding BMH on Tuesday. They plan to set up a Construction Liason Group to keep us informed. Mary Durcan has written to them asking that they build a green wall for the school playarea to protect children and their garden plots from the dust and pollution. Should we be asking for mitigation for the noise and air pollution too? They are suggesting that they are going to wrap the scaffolding in protective sheeting.

The City of London has a report:

https://www.cityoflondon.gov.uk/business/environmental-health/envir...

Department of Markets and Consumer Protection City of London

PO Box 270

Guildhall London EC2P 2EJ

Which should be followed by Taylor Wimpey.

Each resident needs to ensure that their voice is heard loud and clearly by the project manager responsible at Taylor Wimpey.

The airborne pollution damage would be immense, my demands would be for all Golden Lane windows to be cleaned inside and outside, dry-cleaning of all curtains - or provision of new curtains, replacement of all affected plants, daily washing of all ground surfaces. Dust masks for all that request them, most certainly for the most vulnerable.

Before any demolition begins, the City needs to provide Golden Laners, via post, and on this website, full contact details of the officer/s we can contact if need be. I believe it is:

Councillor John Tomlinson

133 Cromwell Tower, Barbican, London EC2Y 8DD

Tel: 020 7628 3657

Email: john.tomlinson@cityoflondon.gov.uk

During the Common Council elections, Councillor Tomlinson pledged to work with Golden Lane, and to strive to improve the environment...

As is always the case, the views of the residents will be ignored.

If you have not already read City of London approval for demolition of Bernard organ House, and its replacement

What is a "pocket park" ? something that will fit into one pocket? will the public be allowed to stand on this pocket park?

Spot the pocket park:

This shows the existing building in blue- and how much bigger the new building will be:

Hi

Interesting- I get the same.  The workaround is to do a search under:
