City of London

Hi all,

I don't know if anyone else is suffering this but in my case the situation has got out of control, since last year the window of the bedroom is letting more and more air to come in. When I called the City of London they sent someone who told me that this was normal on a tall building and not to worry as the windows were going to be replaced along with the facade. As the project to renew windows has been canned I am now exposed to a continuous stream of cold wind coming into my bedroom. Even with the radiators that Keepmoat has given us turned on at maximum I wake up every day shivering.

I understand we live in a listed building and all but sincerely the debate and revision of the colour and shape of the windows cannot be such a drag to freeze the residents and force them to think about relocation. Is anyone else suffering the same problem and if so how are you managing it?

 Cheers,

Pablo

electric blanket, electric foot warmer, electrically heated back pad, dehumidifier, have you tried sleeping in the living room?

Maybe if you ask them they may be able to afford to give you another few radiators, but if they do it for you they might have to do it for others.

Hi Pablo,

which block do you live in?

Hi Tim, Nathan,

I am in Great Arthur house. I have been working on sellotaping the windows and other places where the wind was coming through and things have improved. Still I think that the City needs to complete once and for all the renovation project so we can live without these hacks.

Cheers,

Pablo
