I'm a new mum! As of 3 weeks ago.
Are there any other new mums on the estate?

Hi Rachel

I am not a 'new' mum - my daughter is now 17 months, but if you are planning on staying on the estate, it would be nice to meet for a coffee. 17 months seems like a big gap now, but in a year or so they will both be running on the estate lawns and playing in Fortune Park.
Are you registered with the Neaman Practice? When I was a new mum, the health visitor ran a really nice 'baby club' on Friday mornings. I met a lot of local mums through that. I don't know if it is still going on, but it's worth checking. There is also a very helpful site called barbicanmums.com, which has lots of info and is also a place where you can meet local mums (I met quite a few new mums through that too). Golden Lane Campus do a really nice baby massage course which I recommend.
I am in Bayer House.
All the best, Eva

Dear Rachel,
Congratulations,
If you come to the Golden Lane Campus entrance is in the middle of the park. We have a Baby Stay and Play, every Wednesday from 1-3:30pm. we also offer baby massage which is very popular its a drop in.
You are bound to meet parents living very locally or from GLE. Come along its a lovely place to come too. (all FREE!)
We also have a hydro pool that offers swimming lessons for babies and toddlers friday afternoons and saturday mornings.

see attachment for our timetable of activities.
regards

It was nice to meet you and Mae too. We'd love to meet up. I've got a busy week next week but how about the week after. Would you like to come round for coffee?

Hello Rachel and Joseph.
I'm also a mum but not so new now, my little girl is 21 months. I'm a friend of Eva's and a few other mums on the estate.
I second pretty much everything Eva has said. The Neeman practice is a great place to meet other local mums and we also did the baby massage and baby sign language courses at Golden Lane campus.
There are lots of things to do locally with your little one. My favourites are the read and sing sessions at the Barbican library. They're on Friday mornings at 10.30 for 0-18 months and on Monday mornings at 10.45 for 18months and over. But they're not that bothered about the ages if you can't make the Friday one I'm sure you can go to the Monday one.
Perhaps I'll see you there.

Thanks for the info, Mady. We've just started going to Neaman practice group on Tuesday, and I think we might try the singing in the new year...
